UPCOMING ART FESTIVAL SCHEDULE
August 2-3: Evanston, Ill, on the lake on the north side of Chicago and his home to Northwestern University. 36th Annual Evanston Lakeshore Arts Festival , Saturday and Sunday, 11 AM to 6PM. Location: beautiful Dawes Park on Lake Michigan. Food, jazz, and classical music complete the fine art and fine craft event.
August 15, 16, 17: Manchester (St. Louis), MO, indoors at the Greensfelder Recreation Complex in Queeny Park, Cool Art/Hot Jazz, annual juried fine art fair, sponsored by the Greater St. Louis Art Association. The complex is located at 550 Weidman Road, Manchester, MO, Friday 6-9 PM, Saturday 10 AM - 5 PM, Sunday 10 AM - 4 PM.
September 13 & 14: Rising Sun, Indiana, on the Ohio River just south west of Cincinnati, Rising Sun Festival of Fine Arts and Crafts, Saturday and Sunday, 10 AM to 5 PM. Exceptional art, music, wine and catered refreshments complete the event.
September 19, 20, 21 : St. Charles, MO, just west of St. Louis, Mosaics, Missouri Festival for the Arts , located on North Main in Historic St. Charles, MO. As an award winner from '07, Maggie is automatically juried into this show for '08. Friday, 4PM-9PM, Sat. 11AM-9PM, Sunday, 11AM - 5 PM. In addition to the fine art, there will be food, dance, music, and performing groups.
September 27, 28: Carmel, Indiana, on the north side of Indianapolis, 11th Annual Carmel International Arts Festival. The festival is located in the heart of Old Town, Carmel's Arts and Design district, Main Street and Rangeline Road, Saturday and Sunday, 10AM to 5PM. Free to the public, the festival will also have food vendors, restaurants, music, performing artists and a children's area.
October 11 & 12: Parkville, MO, just north of Kansas City and south of the Airport, Art @ Park, Park University's Annual Art Fair, held at English Landing Park on the Missouri River in Parkville. Saturday 10 AM to 6 PM, and Sunday 10 AM to 4 PM. In addition to the food vendors and fine art, there will be live entertainment.
CLASSES
Maggie completed the classes she was teaching at the Delaplaine Visual Arts and Education Center in Frederick, Maryland, before relocating to St. Charles, Missouri, in November of '07. Check back to this page for information on classes in 2008 in the St. Charles and St. Louis area.
WORKSHOPS
Maggie's workshops are designed to give the artist the tools and confidence in watercolor to develop his/her own compositions and to experiment with new techniques. Maggie specializes in individual attention and prides herself on smaller class sizes to achieve that goal. Her workshops have always been well received and many students return knowing that she always has new ideas to share.
