I have been involved in art and painting since 1982. I received a BFA in painting from the University of Oklahoma and a BA in English with education certification from the University of Missouri - St. Louis.
I have been fortunate to receive numerous awards in juried shows and competitions from Kansas to Maryland, and I have been invited to speak and serve as a judge for several Missouri and Kansas art associations and shows. My work is in the permanent print collection of the University of Oklahoma, the St. Peter's Cultural Art Center, St. Peters, Missouri, and in private collections from Pennsylvania to California.
My art teaching experience includes private lessons in my home studio, community art classes, workshops, and guest artist programs. I have served on the Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center, Frederick, Maryland.
I am a signature member of the St. Louis Watercolor Society, a juried member of the Greater St. Louis Art Association and a member of the Missouri Watercolor Society. I also serve as a board member of the Greater St. Louis Art Association and am one of the tri-chairs for the Art Fair at Queeny Park. I am a former member of Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art, St. Joseph, Missouri; The Art League, Alexandria, Virginia; The Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center, Frederick, Maryland; and the The St. Louis Artist Guild.
After several years enjoying the beautiful Maryland Lanscapes from our home in Brunswick, MD, my husband and I returned to our home town St. Louis area in November of 2007.
My favorite medium is watercolor but I also work in oil, acrylic and pencil. My favorite content is landscape but it is not my only content.
Contact me anytime for private lessons, classes and workshops.
In addition to my art shows and festivals, you can see my work at Missouri Artists on Main, St. Charles, MO.
Please see my Art Fairs and Exhibits page for upcoming events.
